I believe that at some point in a Grief Journey, the traveler must make a choice between longing for the past and moving forward. Grief, if we allow it, can be transformational. Yes, the past and our loved one will always be a part of us, but rather than pine for the life that once was, we can move forward with the puzzle pieces arranged in a new way.
Changes are coming to my farmhouse. The well house is coming down and a new addition is going up to insulate those pipes. Thank you, you have served well for nearly 90 years, but the time has come for me to no longer wash dishes in the bathrub.
